Reimagining eCommerce with Timm Enterprises Ltd.
Timm Enterprises Ltd, a horticultural supply & equipment wholesaler in Oakville, Ontario, has been a client of CCC since 2019, when they launched their website on MAP Web. As a wholesaler, they had a unique take on eCommerce, needing their website to act more as a digital catalogue than a storefront, providing their clients with product details so that they could make informed decisions when the time came.
The original website design did a great job in meeting their immediate needs, but as the years went by and the capabilities of MAP Web grew, it became increasingly clear that it was time for an upgrade. The process for adding products was time-consuming and inconsistent, while the colour palette and design needed a refresh. Additionally, the website was lacking in core SEO optimizations.

The 4 Pillars of this Project
To meet their needs, we broke the website redesign for Timm Enterprises Ltd. into 4 main areas of importance
- Design: Implement a lighter colour scheme for a softer, more modern look
- Product Pages: Make it easy to add new product pages that maintain a consistent look while still being flexible enough to suit all the different categories
- User Experience: Add features that allow users to search and find products in an intuitive way
- SEO Optimization: Provide a solid SEO foundation to build upon with a clear roadmap for future growth
Updating The Web Design
To start this project, our team created a few moodboard options for Timm Enterprises Ltd. to choose from. They wanted to bring in the warmth of a dusty blue colour and blend that with more modern, fresh and nursery-themed elements.
Once we collectively landed on a moodboard, our award-winning design team began building out pages and regularly checking in with the client for feedback. This continual feedback loop is part of our conscious value of Awareness. When we work on any project, we keep our clients involved every step of the way.
Adding Navigation & Filters
Going beyond design and visuals, we had to make sure that products were easy to search and the site was intuitive to use. This usability was broken up into 3 areas: site navigation, product search, and product categorization.
Navigation
Adding a simple Mega Menu was a no-brainer here. It allows users to quickly view product categories without becoming overwhelmed by choice.
Search
On the main product landing page, we added 2 filter options - country of availability and product category. We also offered users a search option and pagination. These options provide users with the ability to browse at their leisure or go directly to what they are looking for.
Categorization
Beyond filtering by category on the main product landing page, we added category subpages. These pages both served to support the site's SEO and to offer users yet another way to browse the product catalogue.
Laying the SEO Groundwork
Not lost in all the design work going on, our SEO specialists were hard at work laying a solid foundation for ranking. It started with a comprehensive SEO audit, including everything from keyword research to competitor analysis. With all the data in hand copy was created, metadata was populated, URLs were optimized, schema was added, and so much more.
Technical SEO work is some of the most important work that goes unnoticed by most. It isn’t the most glamorous stuff, but when done correctly, it is one of the main driving forces behind website traffic.
Putting It All Together
After all was said and done, we gave Timm Enterprises Ltd. a refreshed website with a more modern look that was easier for clients to use, saved time and was optimized for search engines (including AI search). CCC is extremely proud of what we accomplished here, but don’t just take our word for it; here’s what Heidi Timm had to say about our work:
“CCC created a beautiful website for us, starting with a creative and inspiring moodboard. We are happy with the finished product. They are knowledgeable, professional, and quick to assist whenever needed.”
